Tall Ships Near Race Start

The official start of Race 1 of The Tall Ships Races 2012 takes place today between 0600hrs and 1800hrs as the fleet cross a five mile virtual start line to race to Lisbon.

Follow the fleet live by registering and clicking on the 'Follow the Fleet' button.  Yellow Brick trackers have been fitted to each Tall Ship with their position updated online every hour.

Several Tall Ships have grouped together as they near the start point including Akela, Ebb Tide, Ocean Spirit of Moray, Urania, Miles To Go, Dar Szczecina, Amarant, Lord Nelson, Georg Stage, Juan Sebastian De Cano and Pelican of London to name a few.

St Malo - Thursday 5 to Sunday 8 July (race start Monday 9 July)
Lisbon
- Thursday 19 to Sunday 22 July
Cadiz - Thursday 26 to Sunday 29 July
A Coruña - Friday 10 to Monday 13 August
Dublin - Thursday 23 to Sunday 26 August
