At the time of the first communications schedule of Race Two, 06:00 UCT/GMT,
Black Diamond of Durham (UK) is leading overall, with
Jolie Brise (UK) second overall and
Endorfina (Poland) third overall, all on corrected time.
In Class A,
Mir (Russia) leads both on the water and on corrected time, followed by
Sorlandet (Norway) and
Wylde Swan (Netherlands).
There is something of a battle going on in Class B, where
Jolie Brise currently leads, followed closely by
Pegasus (UK) - with both vessels tacking down the rhumb line.
Tecla (Netherlands) is in third position, all on corrected time.
In Class C,
Black Diamond of Durham leads, followed by
Spaniel (Latvia) - who is also first on the water – with
Offshore Scout (UK) in third position.
The Polish sloop Endorfina (Poland) is leading Class D, followed by Zryw (Russia) and Challenger 4 (UK), all on corrected time.
The wind is light and variable and predominately against the fleet. It is currently west north west, force 1 and calm. Many vessels have opted to go north or south of the rhumb line, however in the present conditions neither option is favourable and the vessels keeping close to the rhumb line seem to be benefiting.
