Fun and high jinks in crew parade

Under a baking hot sun the traditional crew parade made its noisy way along the banks of the Aurajoki river this afternoon, to the delight of the tens of thousands of people who had come to watch. 

Singing and dancing along the route, the trainees came to a halt at the Suomen Joutsen stage where the prize giving ceremony was to be held.  The grassy knoll in front of the stage was a mass of colour and high excitement as the 1000-strong crowd awaited the race results and other prizes, which were as follows:
