The International Sail Training and Tall Ships Conference 2016 will be held in Halmstad, Sweden on Friday 25th November and Saturday 26th November.

Conference delegates are promised an informative and thought provoking programme of sessions aimed at all sectors of the sail training and Tall Ships community, including vessel operators, sail trainers, host ports and national sail training organisations.

The conference venue is the Tylosand Hotel, located on the most popular beach in South West Sweden. The hotel boasts a fantastic spa and the country’s largest art gallery, with around 500 artworks on display at any one time. It is co-owned by Per Gessle, singer-song writer and guitarist of legendary 80’s pop band Roxette and die-hard fans will be pleased to hear that the hotel is full of the bands memorabilia.

With its unique seaside location and outstanding facilities, the Tylosand offers a fantastic conference venue and a great destination for networking and catching up with friends and colleagues.

Halmstad is the start port for The Tall Ships Races 2017 and is already known to the sail training community after hosting the event as the finish port for The Tall Ships Races 2011.

The city of Halmstad offers easy access with direct train connections from Copenhagen Airport and Gothenburg.
