This year’s International Sail Training & Tall Ships Conference will take place in the beautiful French city of Bordeaux, from Thursday 30 November to Saturday 2 December.

As a conference delegate, you can expect three days of highly informative and thought-provoking sessions. These are designed to engage, stimulate conversation, and promote sharing and best practice. We encourage everyone involved with sail training and the Tall Ships community to attend, including vessel operators, sail trainers, host ports, and national sail training organisations.

The vibrant and high-spirited capital of south-west France will welcome delegates with its characteristic joie de vivre. Bordeaux is famed for its prestigious fine wines and exceptional cuisine. Not only has the city been listed as the largest urban UNESCO World Heritage site, it’s been named Lonely Planet’s number one city to visit in 2017.

This year's conference will take in of the some of the city's most iconic landmarks, with a welcome reception at the historic City Hall Salons and a Gala Wine Party at the elegant Palais de la Bourse.

Bordeaux hosted The Tall Ships Races in 1990 and will be the finish port for the Three Festivals Tall Ships Regatta in 2018.
