Harlingen, The Netherlands

Following their highly successful first Tall Ships event in 2014 Harlingen will again be a host port in 2018.   Harlingen is one of the oldest seaports in The Netherlands and is the gateway to northern Holland from the North Sea.  It is the homeport for sea-going trawlers and a large traditional sail charter fleet.

Harlingen is a yachting centre and has two ancient tidal docks, the Noorderhaven and Zuidehaven which surround the historic city centre and give Harlingen its unique character.  Smaller Tall Ships can berth in the Noorderhaven, lined with historic warehouses and the stately houses of ship owners.
